Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Location is perfect, food was tasty, little small portion for the price; main dish but french fries and vegetable charged extra 2,20€ each."
"Great place if you want a quick and tasty meal. We didn't have to wait long and the service was nice and friendly though we struggled a bit to communicate in English. We ended up having one meal instead of two because of that but a plate was so big that we decided to stick with only one portions. Simple but tasty grilled seafood. Nice view. Freshly squeezed juice and Portuguese meringue dessert highly recommended! At the end you can get a delicious digestif!"
"Very tasty, I ordered a salad with grillado cheese but it wasn't fried. But it was good all the same. Also delicious small fish, it is somewhere in the appetisers on the menu. But the most important thing is the view of the ocean and the beach."
"Could not recommend this restaurant more. The location and atmosphere is breathtaking, the food is delicious and the staff are so warm and welcoming. A special thanks to our waiter Cesar, who catered for our every need, excellent service and value for money. One of the highlights of our holiday - thank you."
"We grew tired of the same hotel food and decided to try lunch and drinks outside, which turned out to be a great choice. The service was quick, and we loved the starters: bread with alioli, padron peppers, and garlic shrimp were all delicious. My husband especially enjoyed the grilled octopus. The sangria and beer were great as well. We will definitely be back!"
"We only used to pop in for drinks while we were at the beach, as the Google rating put us off trying the food. We finally decided to give it a go on our last day and were pleasantly surprised – the food was delicious. We had the skewers, ribs and garlic prawns as a starter. Everything was really tasty."
"Best Chateau Briand, and cheap. It comes on a gas stove and platter rather than a hot stone. We asked for side salad, cooked vegetables, fries and wrinkly potatotes (boiled with skin on). This was much better as we could control the cooking, 30 seconds for each slice per side. Very tender, melting in your mouth and perfectly cooked by my wife. We visited in the evening with friends as this was the quietest restaurant as it was located at the end of the strip. The other restaurants were full and very busy. The waiter asked us to sit nearer the other tables as he was the only person serving, but we asked if we could sit outside at the front, at the far end so that he could still see us. We were the entertainment for passers-by as we cooked our slices of the Chateau Briand and enjoyed the company and beer. We missed the sea view as it was dark but perhaps a daytime visit next time. Tip - bring some insect repellent and try to speak Spanish. We parked near the lighthouse and walked 20 minutes along the coast to the restaurant. Look out for the Willy Brandt statue."
"An amazing spot for sitting out and having a panoramic view of the beach. The food was nothing to write home about though. I had a plate of mixed seafood fry-up. It was good value in terms of the variety of food on the plate (squid, octopus, sardine) as well as some chips, pedron pepper and salad. But the fried seafood was greasy and the baby octopus were very much over cooked. I wish I had gone to the other more traditional tapas places along the beach, and just come here for drinks."
